Crestron USB-EXT-3S-REMOTE USB 3.2 Extender over CAT6a/7, Remote Unit

It is the device end of Crestron's USB-EXT-3S USB 3.2 extender. It provides four USB device ports, three Type-A and one Type-C, and links over one CAT6a or CAT7 cable to a USB-EXT-3S Local endpoint at the host, up to 100 m (330 ft) away.

It connects up to four USB devices at one location, such as cameras, video capture devices, flash drives and keyboards. Crestron notes that the extender can be expanded to support more devices by adding USB hubs, which are not included. Power allocated to the four USB devices totals 25 W.

No. The PW-2030DU 20 VDC power pack is sold separately. It takes 100 to 240 VAC and delivers 3.0 A at 20 VDC through a locking DC connector. The Remote endpoint can also receive power over the LINK connection from a Local endpoint.

Yes. USB-EXT-3S endpoints support all USB transfer types, including the isochronous (ISO) transfers used by cameras and video capture devices. USB 3.2 Gen 1 runs at up to 5 Gbps, and USB 2.0 and 1.1 signals can be carried at the same time.

The black metal housing, with vented sides, can be freestanding or surface mounted, and mounting hardware is included. It measures 23 mm (0.89 in) high, 130 mm (5.12 in) wide and 125 mm (4.90 in) deep and weighs 340 g (12 oz).

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the USB-EXT-3S-REMOTE on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.
