How much does a Crestron engineer cost?
All prices are plus VAT, and parts are quoted separately.
- 4 hour visit: €440 with one engineer.
- Full day (8 hours): €880.
- Extra time: €110 an hour. We tell you before a visit runs over.
- Remote support: €110 an hour through a secure Zoho Assist session. It is the same rate as on site because it is the same engineer's time, without the travel.

| National | more than 120 km away | €150 |
How do I book a Crestron engineer?
- Send a quote request from the quote list and choose installation, or call or WhatsApp us.
- We send a written quote through our client portal.
- We agree a date that suits you.
- We send the invoice, which is paid before the visit. There are no deposits or stage payments.
For remote support, we send a secure link to start the session once it is booked. The system needs an internet connection for us to reach it.
What happens when we replace a Crestron device?
Before the visit we check the model, the firmware and how the device is set up in your system, so we arrive with the right part and the right files. On the day we fit the new unit, give it the same identity as the old one (its IP ID, Cresnet ID or network settings), load its settings or programme, and test every function with you.
You get a short written summary of what we did. If the programme files for your system are missing, we tell you before we start and quote any work needed to rebuild them.
Can you change or take over an existing Crestron system?
Yes. We regularly take over Crestron systems from other installers and from companies that have closed. For Crestron Home systems we can usually work directly on the processor. For custom programmed systems, the original programme files make changes much quicker; without them, we assess the system first and quote for any rebuilding.
After the work, you can join 1Install Care for remote monitoring, updates and priority support.
Why use a Crestron Elite Partner?
1Install is a Crestron Elite Partner, and our founder, Kieran McGuire, holds every Crestron certification, including DM NVX, audio, programming, DSP, lighting and shades. The person who designs your system understands every part of it, from the network to the keypads.
As an authorised dealer we buy directly through Crestron, so equipment is genuine, covered by Crestron's warranty and supported by Crestron if we ever need to escalate a fault.

Questions about Crestron installation
How much does it cost to have a Crestron engineer visit?
A 4 hour visit is €440 and a full day is €880, plus VAT. Extra time is €110 an hour. Parts are quoted separately, and travel is free within 40 km of our Skerries or Cork office, €75 from 40 to 120 km and €150 beyond that.
Is remote support cheaper than a site visit?
Remote support is charged at the same hourly rate, €110 an hour plus VAT, because it is the same engineer's time. You save the travel charge and, for many programming changes and faults, the waiting time for a visit.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is free within 40 km of our Skerries or Cork office, €75 from 40 to 120 km and €150 beyond that. We work it out from your Eircode when we quote, so the price you accept is the price you pay.
Do I pay before the visit?
Yes. Once you accept the quote and we agree a date, we send the invoice, which is paid before the visit. There are no deposits or stage payments on service visits and shop orders.
What if the job takes longer than booked?
We tell you before the booked time runs out. Extra time is charged at €110 an hour plus VAT, and nothing extra is done without your agreement.
Can you install Crestron equipment I already own?
Yes. We can install and programme equipment you already have. The warranty on equipment we did not supply stays with the seller, so we recommend buying Crestron from an authorised dealer.
Do you programme Crestron Home?
Yes. We set up and change Crestron Home systems: rooms, lighting scenes, shades, climate, media and schedules, as well as custom programmed Crestron systems for commercial buildings and larger homes.
Can you take over a Crestron system from another installer?
Yes. Tell us what is installed and whether you have the programme files. We assess the system, explain what we found in plain English and quote for any work, including rebuilding files if they are missing.
How quickly can you come out?
It depends on our diary and whether parts need ordering. We give you the first available dates when we quote. For an urgent fault, call us on 01 906 9326 or send us a WhatsApp message.
Do you offer ongoing Crestron support?
Yes. 1Install Care covers remote monitoring, updates, remote support and planned maintenance visits, and you can log faults through your client portal.
