Crestron USB-EXT-3S-LOCAL USB 3.2 Extender over CAT6a/7, Local Unit

It is the host end of Crestron's USB-EXT-3S USB 3.2 extender. It connects to one USB host, such as a computer, media server or game console, over USB Type-C and sends USB 3.2, 2.0 and 1.1 signals over one CAT6a or CAT7 cable to a USB-EXT-3S-REMOTE up to 100 m (330 ft) away.

No. The PW-2030DU 20 VDC power pack is sold separately. It takes 100 to 240 VAC and delivers 3.0 A at 20 VDC through a locking DC connector. Crestron gives total consumption of 31.28 W across the Local and Remote endpoints.

The LINK port connects directly to the LINK port on a USB-EXT-3S-REMOTE, using Crestron's proprietary point-to-point link between USB-EXT-3S endpoints. The Remote provides the USB device ports. When replacing a unit, check the part number at the other end of the existing link.

Yes. It has a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 4-pin 3.5 mm terminal block, running at up to 115.2k baud, with the fourth pin not used. Crestron includes an RS-232 pass-through port on each USB-EXT-3S endpoint to carry serial data from a control system over the LINK connection.

It measures 23 mm (0.89 in) high, 130 mm (5.12 in) wide and 125 mm (4.90 in) deep and weighs 350 g (12.32 oz). The black metal housing has vented sides and can be freestanding or surface mounted, with mounting hardware included.
