Crestron HD-MD8X8-4KZ 8x8 4K60 4:4:4 HDR HDMI Switcher, 1 RU

It is an 8x8 4K60 4:4:4 HDR AV switcher with eight HDMI inputs and eight HDMI outputs in a 1 RU rack-mountable chassis. It supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, is HDCP 2.3 compliant and offers EDID management, CEC control and native Crestron control over Ethernet.

Crestron lists the HD-MD8X8-4KZ-E as compatible with Crestron 3-Series or later control systems, with native control via Ethernet. It also has a built-in web interface and XiO Cloud connectivity, and it can control connected devices through CEC.

It comes with the PW-2420RU power pack, which accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz (1.3 A maximum) and supplies 24 VDC at 2.5 A. Typical power consumption of the switcher is 29 W, and the power pack is included in the box.

Yes. The switcher de-embeds HDMI audio to stereo 2-channel analogue line output, with volume from -80 dB to +20 dB plus mute, mono and stereo settings. Conversion is 24-bit 48 kHz, with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±0.5 dB and THD+N below 0.005%.

It occupies 1 RU in a 19-inch rack, and rack ears are included. The black metal chassis with vented sides measures 44 mm (1.72 in) high, 441 mm (17.33 in) wide without the rack ears and 179 mm (7.02 in) deep.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the HD-MD8X8-4KZ on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.
