Crestron USB-EXT-3S-LOCAL-1G USB 3.2 Extender Wall Plate, Local

It is the host endpoint of Crestron's USB-EXT-3S USB 3.2 extender, built as a wall plate for a 1-gang electrical box. It connects to one USB host over USB Type-C and sends USB 3.2, 2.0 and 1.1 signals over one CAT6a or CAT7 cable, up to 100 m (330 ft).

Its LINK port connects directly to the LINK port on a USB-EXT-3S-REMOTE, using Crestron's proprietary point-to-point link between USB-EXT-3S endpoints. The Remote endpoint provides the USB device ports for cameras, video capture devices, flash drives and keyboards.

It mounts in an unobstructed 1-gang electrical box, which is not included, with a minimum mounting depth of 89 mm (3.5 in). The plate measures 106 mm high, 45 mm wide and 60 mm deep and weighs 187 g, and it comes with detachable black and white face plates.

No. The PW-2030DUL power pack is sold separately. It takes 100 to 240 VAC and delivers 3.0 A at 20 VDC to the plate's 2-pin DC power connector. Crestron gives total consumption of 31.28 W across the Local and Remote endpoints.

Yes. The plate has a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 4-pin 3.5 mm terminal block, running at up to 115.2k baud, with the fourth pin not used. It carries serial data from a control system over the LINK connection to the other USB-EXT-3S endpoint.
