About the Crestron HD-TXC-4KZ-101

The HD-TXC-4KZ-101 takes an HDMI input with HDCP 2.3 and carries it over a DM Essentials link. It handles 4096x2160 and 3840x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour sampling at 8 bit, and 1080p60 at 4:4:4 12 bit. HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision pass through, as do audio formats including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and DTS HD High Res. The HDMI input also accepts DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources.

It is built for point-to-point runs. The yellow DM OUT port connects to a DM Essentials receiver or DMPS Essentials switcher over CAT5e or higher twisted pair cable, such as Crestron DM-CBL-8G or DM-CBL-ULTRA (sold separately). The link reaches up to 40 m (130 ft) for UHD and 4K signals, or 70 m (230 ft) for 1080p, WUXGA and 2K. Two-way RS-232 at up to 115.2k baud, IR up to 60 kHz, CEC and EDID travel over the same cable.

Power comes from the included PW-2420RU power pack through a 2.1 x 5.5 mm DC connector. The black metal chassis has vented sides and two mounting brackets, so the unit can stand freely, be surface mounted or attach to a single rack rail. It measures 105 mm high, 106 mm wide and 27 mm deep. When replacing one, check that the far end of the cable is a DM Essentials receiver or DMPS Essentials switcher.
