How are XiO Cloud Premium subscriptions organised?

XiO Cloud is Crestron's provisioning and management service. Many current devices support it for remote setup and management, including AirMedia receivers, 4-Series processors such as the CP4 and DIN-AP4, HD-MD switchers, HD-PS presentation systems and USB-SW switchers, and the TSS-470E desk scheduling screen is set up and managed through it.

• Term: Premium subscriptions run for 1, 2 or 3 years.
• Size: each term comes in bands for 1 to 99, 100 to 499 and 500 or more devices, so the part number follows the number of devices under management. SW-XIOC-PREMIUM-3YR-100-499, for example, is a three-year subscription for 100 to 499 devices.
• True-up: SW-XIOC-PREMIUM-TRUE-UP parts adjust the device count, in the same three bands.

Some products list XiO Cloud management as a service available separately, including the CCC-110 and CCC-120 Collab Compute units.

Which Crestron Fusion licence do I need?

Crestron Fusion handles room monitoring and scheduling. 4-Series processors including the CP4, DIN-AP4, MC4 and RMC4 support it, and sensors such as the GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN add room usage monitoring.

• SW-FUSION-C-3: Fusion Cloud for 250 rooms, with three years of service, support and updates.
• SW-FUSION-P-L: Fusion On-Premises for unlimited rooms, with lifetime service, support and updates.
• SW-HS room scheduling: one licence per touch screen, for Fusion Cloud (the -C parts) or On-Premises (the -P parts), with 1-year, 3-year or lifetime support and updates (SW-HS-1, SW-HS-3 and SW-HS-L).

The Crestron Scheduling App on panels such as the TSW-770 and TSW-570 supports Crestron Fusion as well as Microsoft Exchange Server, Office 365, Google Calendar and CollegeNET 25Live, so confirm which booking system the rooms will use before choosing licences.

Which licences add features to a control system or room?

• BACnet: SW-3SERIES-BACNET-50+ adds BACnet Network/IP support to 3-Series and 4-Series control systems.
• Crestron Virtual Control: VC-4-ROOM is a single-room licence for the Virtual Control server software, and SW-VC4-BN-1000 adds BACnet Network/IP with 1,000 objects.
• Programmes: SW-RMC3-10PROG is a 10-programme support licence for RMC3, RMC4, MPC3 and MC4 Series processors, and SW-HUB4-PROG is a custom programme licence for the ZUM-HUB4.
• Connectivity: SW-USB-ETHERNET is a control system licence key for a USB to Ethernet adapter.
• AV over IP: DM-NVX-SW-C310 is CPU-based DM NVX 4K60 encoder and decoder software for a single stream.
• Cameras: SW-IV-SAM-3RDPARTYCAM enables third-party cameras on the IV-SAM-VX2-P Automate VX Pro Series 2.

Some hardware also needs a licence for a built-in feature: the AirMedia gateway in the DMPS3-4K-250-C and DMPS3-4K-350-C requires one.

What should I check before ordering a licence or support plan?

• Platform: match the licence to what it runs on, whether that is a 3-Series or 4-Series processor, Crestron Virtual Control, a ZUM-HUB4 or an Automate VX Pro Series 2.
• Quantity: count the devices for XiO Cloud, the rooms for Fusion Cloud and the touch screens for room scheduling licences.
• Offline sites: the USB-OFFLINE dongle validates licences without an XiO Cloud service account. Crestron lists which licences support it, and the licence itself is ordered separately.
• Support plans: match the plan to the system. UC-FLEXCARE is for new M, MM, B or R-Series Crestron Flex systems and UC-FLEXCARE-C for new C-Series systems. UC-COLLABCARE-1YR covers Collab Compute and dedicated TS(W)-1080-UC touch screens, IV-VXCARE covers an Automate VX Series 2 processor and its dedicated 1 Beyond cameras, and IV-PROSERVICE-1B provides remote professional services for 1 Beyond camera systems.
