The dongle removes the need for an XiO Cloud service account when licences are validated. Instead, the installation checks its licence against an offline licence key used with the USB-OFFLINE. Offline licensing follows a set sequence. The licence and the USB-OFFLINE dongle are ordered first. The installation is then configured for offline licensing, and Crestron's offline licensing form is completed to receive an offline licence key. That key is added to the installation with a utility Crestron provides while the USB-OFFLINE is connected.
