Crestron IV-SAM-VX2-P Automate VX Pro Voice-Activated Switching

It is Automate VX Pro Series 2, a voice-activated multi-camera switching system. It uses room microphone data to find the active speaker and switches between Crestron 1 Beyond cameras, with visual AI framing each shot, for meetings, town halls and classrooms.

The main difference is capacity. The IV-SAM-VX2-P Pro supports 7 SDI or 12 NDI|HX sources, while the IV-SAM-VX2-S supports 3 SDI or 5 NDI|HX sources; both add one USB camera source. They share the same 316 GB recording storage, RTMP streaming, Room Designer setup, 400 W rating and chassis size.

Crestron lists several microphone types for voice-activated switching, including intelligent array microphones, wired and wireless microphones, and discussion systems. The system uses data from these room microphones to locate the active speaker and change camera shots to match.

Yes. It has a built-in encoder and recorder. It can stream to any RTMP server and records MP4 files (H.264, user-selectable bitrate up to 10 Mbps) or MOV files to its internal 316 GB SSD. Titles, logos, backgrounds and multi-source layouts can be added.

Configuration is browser-based, using the Room Designer tool to place cameras and microphones and set the switching behaviour without code, with secure login and user administration. The steel chassis is freestanding or 2U rack-mountable, with adhesive feet and rack ears included, and uses 400 W.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the IV-SAM-VX2-P on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the IV-SAM-VX2-P develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
