Crestron USB-EXT-3S SYSTEM USB 3.2 Extender over CAT6a/7 Cable

It is a USB 3.2 extender made up of a Local endpoint, which connects to the host by USB Type-C, and a Remote endpoint with four USB device ports. The two link point to point over one CAT6a or CAT7 cable, up to 100 m (330 ft), at USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds of up to 5 Gbps.

The Local endpoint has one USB Type-C host port. The Remote endpoint has three USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port for devices such as cameras, video capture devices, flash drives and keyboards. USB 3.2, 2.0 and 1.1 devices can be used at the same time.

Each endpoint has a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 4-pin 3.5 mm terminal block, running at up to 115.2k baud. It passes serial data from a control system over the LINK connection, so serial control can travel on the same cable as the USB signals.

A PW-2030DU power pack is included, taking 100 to 240 VAC and delivering 3.0 A at 20 VDC through a locking DC connector. An endpoint can also receive power over the LINK connection. Total consumption is 31.28 W across both endpoints, with 25 W allocated to four USB devices.

It needs one CAT6a or CAT7 (or better) cable, F/FTP or U/FTP, run point to point between the endpoints for up to 100 m (330 ft). The link is proprietary and occupies a single USB tier. Crestron notes that a standard USB 3.2 cable is limited to 1.8 m (6 ft).

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the USB-EXT-3S SYSTEM develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
