About the Crestron USB-EXT-2-REMOTE-1G

The two USB Type A ports take keyboards, mice and other USB devices, and the RJ45 Link port connects over one run of solid-core CAT5e or better shielded twisted pair (STP) to the Local plate at the host. The extension is plug-and-play, with no configuration, programming or drivers needed on Windows, macOS or Linux.

USB 2.0 runs at up to 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 at up to 12 Mbps. Mass storage and isochronous devices are supported, and Mass Storage Acceleration helps USB 2.0 bulk transfers. A chain can include up to four USB hubs, for 30 devices, or 26 devices when four hubs are used. Status LEDs show power, link, host and activity.

The PW-2407WUL power supply is included. It takes 100 to 240 VAC, outputs 0.75 A at 24 VDC to a 2-pin terminal block, and one supply powers both ends of the link. An optional ferrite bead is provided to reduce interference. The plate measures 105 mm high, 44 mm wide and 50 mm deep, and this page covers the black and white versions.
