Crestron HD-DA8-4KZ 1:8 HDMI Distribution Amplifier, 4K60 HDR

It splits one HDMI source to eight separate outputs, feeding up to eight displays, switchers or other devices with the same signal. The 1:8 amplifier supports UHD and DCI 4K60 4:4:4 and HDR video, HDCP 1.4 or 2.2 and high-bitrate 7.1 audio.

No programming or control system is needed. The HD-DA8-4KZ-E is set up with controls on the unit: a three-position slide switch for HDCP (off, 1.4 or 2.2), a SETUP button that restores factory settings and a recessed RESET button for a hardware reset.

It handles HD 1080p, UHD 4K and DCI 4K at up to 60 Hz. At 60 Hz, 4K runs at 4:4:4 with 24 bit colour depth or 4:2:2 at 36 bit, and HDR10, 3D and Deep Color are supported. The input accepts DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources, and the outputs are DVI compatible.

No. The HDMI connections handle HDCP and EDID, but CEC is not passed through the amplifier. EDID can use the DEFAULT mode, which reports 4K60 4:4:4 non-HDR video with 2-channel LPCM audio, or the COPY 1ST mode, and a custom EDID can be uploaded from a USB flash drive.

The black metal chassis measures 22 mm high, 326 mm wide and 119 mm deep, with two integral flanges for freestanding, surface or single rack rail mounting. It is powered by the included PW-2407WU power pack (100 to 240 VAC in, 24 VDC 0.75 A out), and Crestron lists power consumption of 11.5 W.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the HD-DA8-4KZ on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the HD-DA8-4KZ develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
