Crestron DM-NVX-385 5K 4x1 AV over IP Switcher with Downmixing

It is a DM NVX AV over IP endpoint with a built-in 4x1 switcher for two HDMI and two USB-C inputs and surround sound to stereo downmixing. It can be configured as an encoder or a decoder and carries 4K60 4:4:4 and 5K Ultra-Wide and Super-Wide video over standard Gigabit Ethernet.

Both are 5K 4x1 AV over IP switchers with two HDMI and two USB-C inputs, eARC, AES67 and PoE++ power, and both measure 209 mm by 209 mm by 31 mm. The DM-NVX-385 adds surround sound to stereo downmixing, which is not listed among the DM-NVX-384 features.

Downmixing converts surround sound to stereo. The DM-NVX-385 carries multichannel audio of up to 8-channel LPCM or encoded HBR 7.1 surround sound, and downmixing lets that content play through a stereo system. It also has a secondary 2-channel LPCM stream, native AES67 and an analogue audio input or output.

It takes PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 Class 6, 60 W) from a PoE++ compliant Ethernet switch or a third-party IEEE 802.3bt compliant PSE. The alternative is the PW-2420RU power pack, sold separately, which outputs 2.5 A at 24 VDC.

The HDMI output supports eARC, so audio can be taken from the connected display and sent over the network as a multichannel BTS audio over IP stream. The secondary HDMI input supports eARC as an audio output to a connected AVR, and the BTS stream is also compatible with the DM-NAX-XSP.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the DM-NVX-385 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the DM-NVX-385 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
