About the Crestron DM-NVX-360

As an encoder the DM-NVX-360 takes an HDMI source and streams it across the network. As a decoder it receives a stream and drives a display through its HDMI output, using a 4K60 4:4:4 scaler and a 2x1 switcher (HDMI or stream) with Crestron QuickSwitch HD. Video wall processing is also built in. The operating mode can be changed in under a minute from a control system, a web browser or the Setup button.

Video is supported up to 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour sampling, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HDCP 2.3, and audio covers up to 8-channel LPCM or encoded HBR 7.1. Bit rate can be fixed between 200 and 950 Mbps, adaptive or variable. A balanced stereo analogue audio port can be set as an input or output for embedding or de-embedding, and AES67 transmit and receive, USB and KVM routing are supported.

Security includes 802.1X, Active Directory credential management, TLS and AES-128. Power comes from PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4), for example from a Crestron DM-PSU-ULTRA-MIDSPAN or a PoE+ switch, or from the optional PW-2412WU power pack (sold separately), and typical consumption is 20 W. The fan-cooled black metal chassis can be freestanding, surface mounted or fixed to a single rack rail, and measures 219 mm high, 236 mm wide and 32 mm deep.

What is the Crestron DM-NVX-360?

Can the DM-NVX-360 be used as both an encoder and a decoder?

It can be configured as either one. The operating mode can be changed in less than a minute through a control system or web browser, or with the onboard Setup button. The scaler and the 2x1 switcher, with Crestron QuickSwitch HD, are used in decoder mode.

How is the DM-NVX-360 powered?

It is powered by PoE+ to IEEE 802.3at Type 2 Class 4 (25.5 W), and Crestron lists it as compatible with the DM-PSU-ULTRA-MIDSPAN, a PoE+ compliant switch or third-party PoE+ equipment. Alternatively, the PW-2412WU 24 VDC power pack can be used, sold separately. Typical consumption is 20 W.

Which DM NVX streams is it compatible with?

As an encoder it uses Pixel Perfect Processing by default, or can produce streams for the DM-NVX-D10, D20 and D200 series. As a decoder it handles Pixel Perfect Processing streams or streams from the DM-NVX-E10 and E20 series. Check the existing endpoints when adding units to a system.

What audio options does it have?

It carries multichannel audio up to 8-channel LPCM or encoded HBR 7.1, as well as 2-channel LPCM, and supports AES67 transmit and receive. A balanced stereo analogue audio port can be configured as an input, to embed a separate source, or as an output for de-embedding.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the DM-NVX-360 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
