About the Crestron DM-EXT-2011-2G

The kit contains the HD-TXU-4KZ-111-2G wall plate transmitter and the HD-RXU-4KZ-101-E receiver. A source plugs into the wall plate's USB-C port, which accepts DisplayPort Alt Mode video and USB 2.0 data, and the receiver's HDMI output feeds a display, projector or codec. The two units are linked by a CAT5e or higher twisted pair cable.

Extension distance is up to 40 m (130 ft) for UHD and 4K signals, or 70 m (230 ft) for 1080p, WUXGA and 2K. Video is supported up to 4K60 with 4:4:4 colour sampling at 8 bit, with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Deep Color. EDID and HDCP 2.3 are managed and CEC is passed through. USB 2.0 is extended at up to 300 Mbps, and both units have two USB Type-A host ports for peripherals such as mice and keyboards.

The PW-2420RU power pack comes with the receiver and powers both units, so no power pack is supplied for the wall plate. The transmitter has a metal housing and bracket with a black or white polycarbonate front overlay, and fits a 2-gang or larger electrical box or plaster ring 51 mm (2 in) deep, which is not included. The receiver has a black metal chassis with two mounting flanges for surface or rack rail mounting.

The difference is the colour of the wall plate transmitter's front overlay: the -B kit is black and the -W kit is white. Both kits have the same receiver, power pack, video performance and extension distances, so choose the colour that suits the room.

How is the wall plate powered?

The PW-2420RU power pack is included with the receiver and powers both units. It takes 100 to 240 VAC and supplies 24 VDC. No separate power pack is included for the 2-gang wall plate transmitter.

What does the wall plate transmitter mount in?

The HD-TXU-4KZ-111-2G mounts in a 2-gang or larger electrical box, or a plaster ring, 51 mm (2 in) deep. The box or ring is not included. It has a metal housing and bracket with a black or white polycarbonate front overlay. When replacing a wall plate, check the existing box against this requirement.
