About the Crestron DM-EXT-2011

The kit contains the HD-TXU-4KZ-111-E transmitter and the HD-RXU-4KZ-101-E receiver. A source connects to the transmitter's USB-C port using DisplayPort Alt Mode, and the receiver's HDMI output feeds a display, projector or codec. This suits rooms where the AV source sits some distance from its destination. The two units are linked by a CAT5e or higher twisted pair cable.

Extension distance is up to 40 m (130 ft) for UHD and 4K signals, or 70 m (230 ft) for 1080p, WUXGA and 2K. Video is supported up to 4K60 with 4:4:4 colour sampling at 8 bit, with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Deep Color. EDID and HDCP 2.3 are managed, CEC is passed through, and the HDMI output carries audio formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD High Res.

USB 2.0 is extended at up to 300 Mbps, and the transmitter has two USB Type-A host ports for peripherals such as mice and keyboards. A 100/1000 Ethernet port on the transmitter passes the network connection over the DM link to the receiver. PW-2420RU power packs are included with the transmitter and receiver, and either one will power both units. The metal chassis has a black finish and two mounting flanges for surface or rack rail mounting.
