Crestron CAEN-7X1 Automation Enclosure, 7 Modules High x 1 Wide

It is a Crestron CAEN Series automation enclosure that is 7 modules high and 1 module wide. It houses CLX Series lighting control modules and Crestron control systems, mounts on the surface of a wall or flush into it, and is intended for residential and commercial lighting and automation systems.

Both are 7 modules high. The CAEN-7X1 is 1 module wide and the CAEN-7X2 is 2 modules wide. They share the same galvanised steel construction, convection cooling and vented front cover, and each has its own cover extension kit: the CAEN-CK-7X1 for this model and the CAEN-CK-7X2 for the wider one.

Yes. The CAEN-CK-7X1 cover extension kit is made for the CAEN-7X1 and CAENIB-7X1 and adds 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) of depth. Crestron designed the CAEN-CK kits to accommodate excess wiring and third-party devices inside the enclosure.

CAEN enclosures are pre-drilled for CLX-DIN-AP3 and PAC2M control systems and are also designed for DIN-AP4 and DIN-AP4-R control systems. If you are mounting DIN 4-Series automation processors or Cresnet hubs, the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS is required.

Yes. Crestron lists the CAEN range for 120 and 230 volt systems, and the enclosures are UL and C-UL listed. They can also carry Class 2 and Class 3 wiring such as structured voice and data, security and RF signal distribution, where the applicable codes permit.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CAEN-7X1 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CAEN-7X1 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
