Crestron CAEN-BLOCK Cresnet Termination Block for CAEN Enclosures

It is a Cresnet network termination block designed for Crestron lighting and automation systems. It links extension and satellite enclosures to the central control system, and gives the CLX Series lighting control modules in those enclosures their Cresnet and Override signal connections.

Crestron lists it for CAEN, CAEN-MLO and CAENIB automation enclosures. It mounts at the bottom of the enclosure. If you are replacing one, check the model of the existing enclosure and block so the new part matches the panel.

It is designed for enclosures that do not contain a control system, typically the extension and satellite enclosures in a distributed layout. There it carries Cresnet and Override signals for the CLX Series lighting control modules, linking them back to the central control system.

It provides Cresnet and Override signal connectivity for the CLX Series lighting control modules in the enclosure, and serves as a parallel distribution block. Cresnet is the Crestron bus used by keypads, lighting controls, shade motors, thermostats and sensors that do not need the speed of Ethernet.

The CAEN-BLOCK is a Cresnet terminal block. The CAEN-BLOCK-CENCN-2-POE is an Ethernet to Cresnet bridge for the same enclosures, adding an Ethernet link to one or more control systems, two isolated Cresnet subnets, built-in diagnostics and PoE+ powering of Cresnet devices. Crestron describes the bridge as more sophisticated than a Cresnet block or hub.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CAEN-BLOCK on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.
