Crestron CAEN-7X2 Automation Enclosure, 7 Modules High x 2 Wide

The CAEN-7X2 is a Crestron automation enclosure, 7 modules high and 2 modules wide, from the CAEN Series. It is designed to house CLX Series lighting control modules and Crestron control systems, and can be surface or flush wall mounted in homes or commercial buildings.

Both enclosures are 2 modules wide. The CAEN-7X2 is 7 modules high, while the CAEN-4X2 is 4 modules high. Otherwise they share the CAEN construction: 16-gauge galvanised steel, convection cooling, a vented front cover, and pre-drilling for CLX-DIN-AP3 and PAC2M control systems, CLX Series modules and CLT Series terminal blocks.

Yes. The CAEN-CK-7X2 is the cover extension kit listed for the CAEN-7X2 and CAENIB-7X2. It adds 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) of depth to the enclosure, giving extra room for excess wiring and third-party devices.

CAEN enclosures are designed to house DIN-AP4 and DIN-AP4-R control systems. Crestron notes that mounting DIN 4-Series automation processors and Cresnet hubs in a CAEN requires the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS. The enclosures are also pre-drilled for CLX-DIN-AP3 and PAC2M control systems.

Yes. Crestron states that CAEN enclosures are well suited to Class 2 and Class 3 applications, including structured voice and data wiring, security and RF signal distribution, as permitted by the applicable codes. The enclosures are UL and C-UL listed.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CAEN-7X2 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CAEN-7X2 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
