About the Crestron DM-NUX-R2-1G

The wall plate has four USB Type A host ports for devices such as mice, keyboards and other USB peripherals. Its LINK port connects to the Link port on a local endpoint, either over an Ethernet network or directly over a dedicated CAT5e or better cable. USB 2.0 runs at up to 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 at up to 12 Mbps, depending on network speed and quality.

Up to five DM-NUX-R2-1G endpoints can be used together through Virtual Hub support, and USB routing can be controlled by a Crestron control system or DigitalMedia system. The wall plates are compatible with the DM-NUX-L2 and DM-NUX-R2 USB over Ethernet extenders. Endpoints are sold individually, and a working system needs at least one local and one remote endpoint.

The wall plate is powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af) on its LINK port, and also has a 24 VDC terminal block input. It is plug-and-play with most USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices and hosts, with no drivers needed for Windows, macOS or Linux. It fits an unobstructed 1-gang electrical box (not included), measures 105 mm high, 44 mm wide and 50 mm deep, and comes with an optional ferrite bead for EMI reduction.
