Crestron CEN-IO-IR-104 Wired Ethernet Module with 4 IR/Serial Ports

It adds four IR/1-way serial output ports to a Crestron control system over wired Ethernet. Each port can control a device by infrared at up to 1.2 MHz or by 1-way serial TTL/RS-232 at up to 115.2k baud, and the module is powered by PoE.

No. Its four ports provide 1-way control only, by infrared up to 1.2 MHz or serial TTL/RS-232 (0 to 5 V) up to 115.2k baud. For 2-way RS-232 control and monitoring with handshaking, Crestron offers the CEN-IO-COM-102, which has two bidirectional COM ports.

It is powered over the LAN cable as an IEEE 802.3at Type 1 (802.3af compatible) Class 0 PoE powered device, using 2.3 W. A Crestron PoE switch such as the CEN-SW-POE-5 or CEN-SWPOE-16, or a PWE-4803RU PoE injector, can supply the power.

Both provide four IR/1-way serial ports with the same IR and serial ratings in the IFE micro enclosure. The CEN-IO-IR-104 connects by wired Ethernet and is powered by PoE, while the CEN-IO-IR-204 connects over Wi-Fi to a wireless access point and runs from an included 5 VDC power pack.

The IFE micro enclosure can stand freely, stack with other CEN-IO and IFE compliant devices, or fix to a flat surface or 35 mm DIN rail using the included bracket, where it occupies 8 DIN module spaces (144 mm). Rack mount and pole mount options are also available.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CEN-IO-IR-104 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CEN-IO-IR-104 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
