Crestron CEN-IO-COM-102 Wired Ethernet Module with 2 RS-232 COM Ports

It adds two bidirectional RS-232 COM ports to a Crestron control system over wired Ethernet. Equipment connected to those ports can be controlled and monitored at up to 115.2k baud, with hardware and software handshaking, and the module is powered by PoE through its LAN connection.

It is a PoE powered device (IEEE 802.3at Type 1, 802.3af compatible, Class 0) and uses 1.9 W, so it needs no local power supply. Power can come from a Crestron PoE switch such as the CEN-SW-POE-5 or CEN-SWPOE-16, or from a PWE-4803RU PoE injector in line with the LAN cable.

Both provide two RS-232 COM ports in the same IFE micro enclosure. The CEN-IO-COM-102 connects by wired Ethernet and is powered by PoE. The CEN-IO-COM-202 connects over Wi-Fi to a wireless access point and runs from an included 5 VDC power pack.

The IFE micro enclosure can stand freely, stack with other CEN-IO and IFE compliant devices, or fix to a flat surface or 35 mm DIN rail using the included bracket. On a DIN rail it occupies 8 module spaces (144 mm). Rack mount and pole mount options are also available.

It supports TLS 1.2, SSL and local authentication, which help protect against service interruptions and malicious intrusions. Configuration is through Crestron Toolbox software or a web browser, and the unit has a recessed SETUP button with a red LED.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CEN-IO-COM-102 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
