Crestron CAEN-4X2 Automation Enclosure, 4 Modules High x 2 Wide

It is an automation enclosure from the Crestron CAEN Series, 4 modules high and 2 modules wide. It holds CLX Series lighting control modules and a Crestron control system in a 16-gauge galvanised steel backbox, and it can be surface or flush mounted on a wall in residential or commercial projects.

Both are 4 modules high. The CAEN-4X2 is 2 modules wide, where the CAEN-4X1 is a single module wide. Construction, convection cooling, the vented front cover and the supported control systems are shared across the CAEN range, so the choice comes down to how many modules the panel needs to hold.

The enclosure is pre-drilled for CLX-DIN-AP3 and PAC2M control systems, and the CAEN range is also designed to house DIN-AP4 and DIN-AP4-R control systems. Mounting DIN 4-Series automation processors or Cresnet hubs in a CAEN enclosure requires the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS.

Crestron lighting and automation systems are cooled entirely by convection, which keeps them silent and reliable. Every CAEN enclosure comes with a vented front cover, and the galvanised steel backbox includes grounding blocks and low-voltage partitions.

Yes. CAEN enclosures are suited to Class 2 and Class 3 applications, including structured voice and data wiring, security and RF signal distribution, as permitted by the applicable codes. The enclosures are UL and C-UL listed and are intended for 120 and 230 V systems.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CAEN-4X2 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CAEN-4X2 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
