Crestron ZUMMESH-CCO Zūm Contact Closure Output for HVAC Integration

It is the Zūm Contact Closure Output, a small module that adds a low-voltage SPDT form C contact closure to a Zūm commercial room lighting system. The relay is controlled by the room's occupancy or vacancy sensors, which lets the Zūm system integrate with an HVAC system or other equipment.

The contact closure is controlled by the occupancy or vacancy sensors in the room. When the room is occupied, the relay engages, and it activates and deactivates based on room occupancy and vacancy. The SPDT form C relay is low-voltage and rated 1A at 30V DC or 24V AC.

It snaps onto a Zūm J-Box Load Controller or a Zūm J-Box Accessory Power Supply (ZUMMESH-JBOX-PSU), and that J-Box device supplies its power and wireless communications. The ZUMMESH-JBOX-SIM sensor integration module also has accommodation for a Contact Closure Output.

Crestron describes it as a way to integrate a Zūm lighting system with an HVAC system or other equipment, so that equipment can respond to room occupancy and save energy. The output is a low-voltage SPDT form C contact rated 1A at 30V DC or 24V AC, so check the input rating of the equipment being switched.

Crestron lists the module as UL 2043 listed for installation in an environmental air handling space. It also meets the UL 916 standard for energy management equipment and ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standards, which is relevant when occupancy-based HVAC control forms part of an energy strategy.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ZUMMESH-CCO on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.
