Crestron CLXI-2DIMU8 8 Channel Universal Dimmer Module, 2 Feeds

It is an 8 channel universal dimmer module with 2 feeds, for 230 Volt lighting. It is made up of two independent 4 channel dimmers, installs in a CAEN or CAENIB wall mount automation enclosure, and dims LED, incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, electronic low-voltage and 2-wire dimmable fluorescent loads.

Each channel automatically detects the dimmable load type connected to it and selects the matching operating mode. Reverse-phase (trailing edge) mode supports incandescent and electronic low-voltage loads, while forward-phase (leading edge) mode handles magnetic low-voltage loads.

The CLXI-2DIMU8 is a universal dimmer: it covers LED and electronic low-voltage loads as well as incandescent, magnetic low-voltage and 2-wire dimmable fluorescent, and each channel selects forward or reverse phase automatically. Crestron lists the CLXI-2DIM8 for incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, neon/cold cathode and dimmable 2-wire fluorescent loads.

Yes. A custom dimming curve can be created in Crestron Toolbox. Constant Power dimming technology adjusts the on-time response to changes in input voltage so power reaches the load consistently, and with zero-cross filtering it reduces lamp flicker.

It runs from a dual or single 230 Volt feed. Wiring connects through a CLTI terminal block, which is sold separately, and every channel output has an air-gap relay. The module is convection cooled and supports override presets.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CLXI-2DIMU8 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CLXI-2DIMU8 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
