About the Crestron USB-SW-400

There are four USB-C host ports and six device ports: two USB-C and two USB-A ports for USB 3.2 Gen 2 data at up to 10 Gbps, plus two dedicated USB-A HID ports for a keyboard and mouse at USB 2.0 speeds. The HID ports are routed together, support hotkey and mouse cursor switching, and use keep alive emulation.

The USB-C device connectors provide up to 15 W of power over USB and the USB-A device connectors up to 4.5 W, with up to 2.5 W on the HID ports. Crestron notes that the unit uses two tiers of USB. Two 3-pin I/O inputs and a Gigabit Ethernet port sit alongside the USB connections, and the front panel has a routing button for each host.

It integrates with the REST API, SIMPL and SIMPL#Pro, uses enterprise-grade security encryption and supports XiO Cloud for remote provisioning and management. Power comes from a 24 VDC, 4 A power pack, with consumption of 47 W. The black metal chassis can stand freely or be surface mounted and measures 28 mm high, 212 mm wide and 128 mm deep.
