About the Crestron SAROS DM-NAX-IC4A

The speaker connects directly to a managed network and can route audio to or from DM NAX audio-over-IP devices, DM NVX AV-over-IP devices and AES67 devices, and through AES67 it can also work with Dante audio networking devices. It is configured through a web UI, which also sets the LED behaviour, and a recessed SETUP button clears the network settings when held for 15 seconds with power applied.

A 2.83 in. (72 mm) Balanced Mode Radiator covers 80 Hz to 24 kHz (±3 dB), with 170° conical coverage for speech and 140° for music, up to 21 W of power output and a maximum SPL of 96 dB. Onboard EQ offers EQ, high pass, low pass, treble shelf, bass shelf and notch filters. Three RJ-45 speaker-level outputs can power up to three SAROS IC4P-W satellite speakers, sold separately.

Power comes from PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Type 2 Class 4, 25.5 W) on the single 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T network port. The plenum-rated painted steel back can has 0.75 in. (19 mm) conduit knockouts and a cable clamp, and the magnetic white textured steel grille has a safety tether. Four two-step toggle clamps grip ceilings up to 2.36 in. (60 mm) thick through a 6.5 in. (165 mm) recommended cutout, and a tile bridge is included.
