About the Crestron MP-WP-2XLRO-1G

Signals travel one way through this plate. The rear 6-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block is a balanced line-level input for two sources, with pins 1 to 3 for input 1 and pins 4 to 6 for input 2. The two front XLR ports are balanced outputs, giving equipment plugged in at the plate two balanced audio feeds.

It is one of Crestron's Media Presentation wall plates, a range covering analogue and digital video, audio and control signals. The plate fits a 1-gang electrical box or plaster ring (not included) and can also be mounted on a rack rail or a flat surface. An FP-G1 decorative faceplate, sold separately, is required to complete it.

It measures 105 mm high, 44 mm wide and 47 mm deep, weighs 80 g and is rated for 0 to 40°C. Because the XLR ports are outputs, this plate suits places where audio needs to be sent out to equipment rather than collected. When replacing one, check the existing back box, as Crestron specifies a particular 1-gang box type.
