About the Crestron MP-WP-2RCAO-1G

The two front RCA ports are unbalanced pass-through connections. Behind the plate, a single 6-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block handles two balanced line-level audio connections, with pins 1 to 3 for the first and pins 4 to 6 for the second. Each connection can be used as an input or an output, so the plate can bring audio into a system or send it out to connected equipment.

The plate belongs to Crestron's range of Media Presentation wall plates for analogue and digital video, audio and control signals. It mounts in a 1-gang electrical box or plaster ring, which is not included, and it can also be fixed to a rack rail or a flat surface. It needs an FP-G1 decorative faceplate, sold separately, to finish it.

The plate measures 105 mm high, 44 mm wide and 42 mm deep, weighs 72 g and is rated for 0 to 40°C. Crestron specifies a particular 1-gang electrical box, so check the existing back box before ordering a replacement. It also helps to note whether the rear connections were wired as inputs or outputs, and whether the FP-G1 faceplate can be reused.
