About the Crestron HD-TX-4KZ-401

Crestron lists the HD-RX-4KZ-101, HD-RXA-4KZ-101, HD-RXC-4KZ-101 and HD-RXCA-4KZ-101 as examples of supported 4K60 4:4:4 receivers, and the output port is labelled DM LITE OUT. Range is up to 40 m (130 ft) for UHD and 4K or 70 m (230 ft) for 1080p, WUXGA and 2K. All four HDMI inputs accept DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources.

The transmitter can be configured and controlled only when used with a DMPS Lite switcher, which provides the web interface and hosts control system programming and .AV Framework support for it. Through the switcher, switching among the four inputs can follow the last connected input or a routing priority. On the unit, an AUTO button enables or disables automatic switching and four buttons select inputs manually.

The included PW-2420RU power pack supplies 24 VDC. Paired with an HD-RX-4K-210-C-E, the transmitter cannot power the receiver, so power has to be connected to the receiver only. The black metal chassis is vented on the top, front, rear and sides, measures 30 mm high, 216 mm wide and 133 mm deep, and has two brackets for freestanding, surface or single rack rail mounting.

How is it powered?

It comes with a PW-2420RU power pack that supplies 24 VDC at 2.5 A from a 100 to 240 VAC input. When it is paired with an HD-RX-4K-210-C-E, the transmitter cannot provide power to that receiver, so power must be connected to the HD-RX-4K-210-C-E only.
