Crestron HD-MD2X1-8K 2x1 8K AV Switcher and Display Controller

It is a 2x1 8K AV switcher and smart display controller. It selects between two HDMI sources for one HDMI output and can control the display without a control processor, turning it on and off by schedule, room occupancy or video sync detection.

It offers CEC over HDMI, a bidirectional RS-232 port at up to 115.2k baud with software handshaking, an IR output up to 60 kHz for an IRP2 emitter probe (sold separately) and two normally open isolated relays rated 1A at 30VAC/VDC. A digital input accepting 0 to 24VDC is also provided.

Yes, it supports automatic switching, and an AUTO LED shows when automatic switching is active. Each input also has a pushbutton for manual selection and an LED that shows green when an HDMI signal is present and amber when the input is ready for one.

Its HDMI 2.1 inputs and HDMI output support signals up to 8K60 4:4:4, with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Deep Color. It is HDCP 2.3 compliant and manages EDID, and the inputs accept DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources.

It is powered over PoE through its PoE Ethernet port, a Class 3 powered device port with an 8.2 W maximum. The black metal chassis with vented sides measures 28 mm high, 212 mm wide and 99 mm deep and can be surface mounted or attached to a single rack rail.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the HD-MD2X1-8K on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the HD-MD2X1-8K develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
