Crestron HD-EXT-USB-2000-C 4K HDMI and USB over HDBaseT Extender

It is a 4K HDMI and USB over HDBaseT extender made up of a compact transmitter and receiver. The pair carries HDMI, USB 2.0, RS-232, IR and Ethernet over a single CAT type cable, with analogue audio input and output also supported alongside the HDMI video.

Up to 100 m (330 ft), depending on the video resolution and the type of cable used. Crestron lists the full 100 m at 1080p60 on CAT5e or better, DM-CBL-8G and DM-CBL-ULTRA cable, with shorter maximum lengths at some higher resolutions. The CAT cable is not included.

No. It is not addressable from a control system and has no programmable functions. Ethernet, USB, CEC, IR and RS-232 signals are simply passed through between the transmitter and receiver, which makes it a straightforward point-to-point extender.

Crestron states that the transmitter (HD-TX-USB-2000-C) and receiver (HD-RX-USB-2000-C) are intended to be used together and are not intended to be interfaced with other HDBaseT equipment. Plan on using the two units as a matched set.

Video up to 4K60 4:2:0 and 4K30 4:4:4 is supported, along with 3D and Deep Color. Audio formats include Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD and uncompressed 7.1 linear PCM, and there are balanced and unbalanced stereo analogue inputs and outputs for embedding or de-embedding audio.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the HD-EXT-USB-2000-C on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the HD-EXT-USB-2000-C develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
