Crestron HD-CONV-USB-300 HDMI to USB 3.0 Capture Converter

It converts an HDMI signal to USB 3.0. The converter captures uncompressed 1080p60 video with stereo audio, taken from HDMI or the 3.5 mm analogue input, and presents it to a computer using the USB Video Class (UVC) and USB Audio Class (UAC) standards used by common capture and streaming applications.

Yes. The HDMI 2.0 input accepts up to 4K UHD at 60 fps with 4:4:4 colour sampling and 12-bit HDR. For USB capture the converter automatically downscales 4K sources to 1080p, while the HDMI output can pass the signal on at up to 4K60 4:4:4 for local viewing.

It is powered from the USB bus and works with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. On USB 2.0, a Y-cable connected to two USB 2.0 ports is required to power it properly. Crestron lists 3.5 W at 1080p60 and 5.0 W with a 4K60 4:4:4 source when powered from USB 3.0.

It captures stereo 2-channel LPCM audio. The source is either the digital audio carried in the HDMI signal (LPCM 2.0) or the 3.5 mm analogue audio input, selected in the configuration software. Audio is delivered to the computer over USB 3.0 using the USB Audio Class standard.

The converter has a compact black steel housing measuring 116 mm (4.55 in) high, 128 mm (5.04 in) wide and 25 mm (0.98 in) deep. It can be freestanding, surface mounted or attached to a rack rail, and it comes with a USB 3.0 Type-B male to Type-A male cable.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the HD-CONV-USB-300 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the HD-CONV-USB-300 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
