About the Crestron DM-RMC-4KZ-100-C

DM 4KZ endpoints such as the DM-RMC-4KZ-100-C let new and existing DigitalMedia systems handle full 4K60 4:4:4 and HDR10 signals. To carry signals beyond 4K30 4:4:4 and 4K60 4:2:0, DM 4KZ uses VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC), a line-based 2:1 compression standard that is visually lossless for 4K60 4:4:4 and HDR. The HDMI output (DVI compatible) also carries 3D and Deep Color, with HDCP 2.2, EDID and CEC.

It connects to the DM 8G+ output of a DM switcher or transmitter and is HDBaseT compatible, so it can also link directly to HDBaseT certified equipment. Runs of up to 100 m are supported for all resolutions up to UHD and 4K on DM Ultra cable. Audio formats include Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS HD, DTS:X and uncompressed 7.1 linear PCM.

Control ports include a 10/100 Ethernet LAN port, a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 5-pin terminal block with hardware and software handshaking, and two IR/serial ports on a 4-pin terminal block. Power comes over the DM or HDBaseT link (IEEE 802.3at Type 1 Class 0) or from the optional PW-2407WU power pack. The black metal chassis has two mounting flanges for freestanding, surface or single rack rail mounting, and is 155 mm high, 143 mm wide and 28 mm deep.
