About the Crestron DM-NAX-POD-MIC

The pod's 360 degree, 12-element array microphone has a pickup radius of 2.3 m (7.5 ft) and suits small to large rooms. Built-in automatic gain control and automixing balance each microphone in the array for even signal levels while reducing extraneous noise, and dynamic noise suppression is included. Audio is full-duplex and compliant with IEEE 1329 Type 1.

The pod connects to a dedicated audio-over-IP network, where it pairs with a DM-NAX-AP-100 Intelligent Audio processor and other microphone or speaker pods. The processor handles the connection to a BYOM computer over USB-C. On the pod, a capacitive, backlit mute button with a red and green LED shows mute status, and an LED ring on top shows pairing, updating and error conditions.

It is powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af Class 0) through a single RJ-45 port. The pod is for tabletop use only, with a black textured plastic housing, perforated stainless steel grilles and a die-cast aluminium bottom cover, and measures 33 mm high, 120 mm wide and 120 mm deep. Holding the reset button for 15 seconds clears the network settings.
