About the Crestron DIN-1TSTAT8

Each zone needs a remote temperature sensor, connected to the thermostat by a single twisted pair. Compatible sensors are the CHVI-RTS-1G-SM-W, CHVI-RTS-1G-N-W, CHV-RTS and CHV-RSS. Because the sensors do the measuring, there is no need for a separate wall thermostat in each zone. Eight SPDT relays drive the zone valves and a ninth controls the main valve, each with normally open and normally closed contacts rated 1/2 HP at 240 VAC.

The DIN-1TSTAT8 needs a Crestron control system to work. Setpoints are adjusted from a Crestron touch screen, handheld remote, mobile app or computer, with custom automation and scheduling, and are stored in the thermostat's memory. If a user setpoint is lost, a failsafe mode keeps the space heated at a preset temperature, 20 °C by default and adjustable from 5 to 20 °C, until the setpoint is restored.

The module fits a 35 mm DIN rail in a Crestron DIN-EN series or similar enclosure, occupies 9 DIN module spaces (162 mm) and is powered from Cresnet, using 6 W. Front panel buttons and LEDs let each zone and the main valve be switched for testing. The measurement range is 0 to 43 °C, the heat setpoint range is 3 to 32 °C, and the main valve delay is adjustable from 0 to 5 minutes.
