Crestron CHVI-RTS-1G-SM Surface Mount Remote Temperature Sensor

It is a white surface mount remote temperature sensor for Crestron thermostats and keypads that support remote sensors. It mounts directly on a flat wall over a 25 mm round hole, or over a 1-gang electrical box, and connects over a single non-polarised twisted pair.

No. It is designed to surface mount on a flat wall without a back box, over a 25 mm (1 inch) round hole. Where a 1-gang electrical box is already fitted, the sensor can be mounted over that instead.

Crestron lists it as compatible with HZ-THSTAT, CHV-TSTAT, CHV-THSTAT, CHV-TSTAT-FCU, CHV-TSTATEX and CHV-TSTATEX-FCU series thermostats, and with C2N-LCDB3 keypads. Check the model of the thermostat or keypad in your system before ordering.

Wire runs of up to 152 m (500 ft) are supported using CAT5e. The sensor needs only a single non-polarised twisted pair back to the thermostat or keypad, which keeps the wiring simple.
