About the Crestron CHV-THSTAT-PIR-10
It works with conventional 2H/2C heat/cool systems, 2H/2C heat pumps with auxiliary heat, dual-fuel heat pumps, 2-pipe and 4-pipe FCU systems, and humidity control. Heating, cooling and fan speed can be driven by 0-10V signals or relays, with relays rated at 1A at 40VDC or 24VAC nominal. Built-in sensors measure temperature from -18 to 43°C (±0.5°C) and humidity to ±5%.
The built-in PIR sensor detects occupancy up to 15 ft (4.6 m) away across 144 degrees horizontally and 30 degrees vertically, which helps with energy efficiency. Up to four setpoints can be assigned based on occupancy and hospitality room booking status. An external temperature/humidity sensor input allows an extra, alternative or auto-changeover sensor, and Cresnet links the thermostat to a Crestron control system.
The thermostat also works as a standalone unit and does not need a Cresnet connection. Power requirements are 24VDC from Cresnet and 24VAC from the HVAC unit, with consumption of about 1.5 W. A backlit 2.75 in (70 mm) transflective LCD is paired with large backlit buttons. It measures 102 mm high, 127 mm wide and 28 mm deep, in black or white textured finishes.

How does the occupancy sensor on the CHV-THSTAT-PIR-10 work?
The built-in passive infrared sensor detects room occupancy to improve energy efficiency. It covers 15 ft (4.6 m) with a 144 degree horizontal and 30 degree vertical angle. Up to four setpoints can be assigned based on occupancy and hospitality room booking status.
Does it need a Crestron control system?
No. It is a fully functional standalone thermostat and does not require a Cresnet connection. When connected over Cresnet it can be integrated with a Crestron control system or networked. Power requirements are 24VDC from Cresnet and 24VAC from the HVAC unit.
Can an external sensor be added to the CHV-THSTAT-PIR-10?
