About the Crestron AM3-121

The AM-3100-WF-I is the AirMedia Receiver 3100 with Wi-Fi network connectivity. It drives the room display over HDMI and accepts wireless presentations from laptops, smartphones and tablets. The AM-TX3-200 Connect Endpoint links a personal device by a single USB-C connection or by HDMI and USB, then sends content to the receiver at up to 4K30. The endpoint needs no software or drivers.

The endpoint gives presenters access to in-room conferencing peripherals, and the receiver supports wireless conferencing with Microsoft Teams and Zoom through USB conferencing peripherals. Across the system you get AirMedia Canvas for up to four sources on screen, smart automation through intelligent display control, personal device control and occupancy detection, XiO Cloud management and built-in digital signage with Appspace support.

The endpoint comes with a metal bracket for mounting under a table, in a podium or elsewhere, and can be powered by PoE, a PW-2420RU power pack or the connected USB-C device. With DC power it can pass PoE+ through to a touch screen. The receiver runs on PoE+ or a PW-2412WU power pack. Both power packs are sold separately.

What is in the Crestron AM3-121 kit?

The kit, part number AM3-121-I KIT, contains one AirMedia Series 3 Receiver (AM-3100-WF-I), the AirMedia Receiver 3100 with Wi-Fi network connectivity, and one AirMedia Series 3 Connect Endpoint (AM-TX3-200). Together they form a complete wireless presentation system for a room.

How does the AM3-121 differ from the AM3-111 kit?

Both kits use the AM-3100-WF-I receiver. The AM3-111 pairs it with the AM-TX3-100, a USB-C Connect Adaptor powered by the personal device. The AM3-121 uses the AM-TX3-200 Connect Endpoint instead, which adds an HDMI input, Ethernet and PoE power options, and a bracket for mounting under tables or in podiums.

What can connect to the AM-TX3-200 endpoint in the AM3-121?

A personal device can connect by a single USB-C cable, using DisplayPort Alt Mode, or by HDMI together with a USB connection for peripheral access. The endpoint supports Windows 10, Windows 11 and macOS 11 or newer, needs no software or drivers, and shares content at up to 4K30.

How are the parts powered?

The AM-3100-WF-I receiver uses PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4) or the PW-2412WU power pack. The AM-TX3-200 endpoint can use PoE, the PW-2420RU power pack or power from the connected USB-C device, and on DC power it can pass PoE+ through to a touch screen. Both power packs are sold separately.

How is the endpoint mounted?

The AM-TX3-200 comes with a metal bracket for mounting under tables, in podiums and in other locations, and it can also be freestanding or surface mounted. It measures 30 mm high, 200 mm wide and 180 mm deep.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the AM3-121 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
