About the Crestron AM-3200

The HDMI input (HDCP 1.4, EDID) takes a wired source at up to 1080p60 and is compatible with DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources. Wireless AirMedia presentations arrive over the Ethernet network at up to 1080p30 from Apple iOS, Android, Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS and Chrome OS devices. AirMedia Canvas can show up to four sources at once, and the HDMI output supports HDCP 2.2, EDID and CEC.

It has several integration friendly features. There is dual LAN, a balanced audio output, a 2-way RS-232 port for display control at up to 115.2k baud and an IR/serial port for 1-way control. USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 host connections accept USB conferencing peripherals for wireless conferencing with Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Smart automation, XiO Cloud management and built-in digital signage with Appspace support are also included.

Power comes from PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4) or the PW-2412WU 24 VDC power pack, sold separately, with typical consumption of 14 W. The black metal chassis has two integral mounting flanges and can stand freely, be surface mounted or attach to a single rack rail. It measures 33 mm high, 188 mm wide and 163 mm deep. What is the Crestron AM-3200?

Both part numbers are the AirMedia Receiver 3200. The AM-3200 is the standard model and the AM-3200-GV is the version Crestron lists as the Government Version. If you are replacing a receiver, check the part number on the existing unit so the new one matches.

Does the AM-3200 have a wired HDMI input?

Yes. It has an HDMI input with HDCP 1.4 and EDID management that accepts up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, and it is compatible with DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort sources. Wireless AirMedia presentations are received at up to 1920x1080 at 30 Hz.

Can the AM-3200 control the room display?

Yes. It has a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 5-pin terminal block for 2-way control at up to 115.2k baud, and an IR/serial port on a 2-pin terminal block for 1-way control by infrared up to 1.1 MHz or serial TTL/RS-232 up to 19.2k baud. The HDMI output also supports CEC.
