About the Crestron ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE
The module is designed for the battery-powered wireless AV keypads (ZUMMESH-KPAVBATT) and the Zūm wireless battery-powered occupancy and vacancy sensors (ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT and ZUMMESH-PIR-VACANCY-BATT). It lets those keypads work with a Crestron control system, lets the sensors be used in non-Zūm applications, and can interface a complete Zūm commercial lighting system with a local AV control system. It uses a simple, brand-agnostic command set.
The control connections are a bidirectional RS-232 port on a 3-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block, at up to 115.2k baud (TD/RD only), and a USB 1.1 micro-B device port that appears as a virtual COM port on the host computer; a 3 ft (0.91 m) micro-B to A cable is included. Wireless is Zūm Mesh 2-way RF at 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.15.4 compliant with AES-128 encryption, reaching 50 ft (15 m) to the nearest mesh device, subject to site conditions.
Power comes from 12-24 VDC on a 2-pin terminal block or from USB, and consumption is 1 W. The black plastic housing is 18 mm high, 66 mm wide and 64 mm deep, weighs 45 g and has two integral flanges for surface mounting. LEDs show power, Zūm Mesh network activity, serial transmit and receive, and errors, and a recessed SETUP button handles room setup and factory reset.
