Crestron ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT Zum Wireless Occupancy Sensor

It is a Zum wireless, battery-powered occupancy sensor for ceiling mounting. Using passive infrared detection, it senses when a room is occupied or vacant and automates Zum dimmers, switches and load controllers, so the lights come on when people are present and go off when the room is empty.

It provides 360 degree coverage for areas up to 500 square feet (46.5 m²) when mounted on the ceiling. Its lens divides the field of view into sensor zones and detects motion when a warm body passes between them. A half mask and a perforated mask are included.

Crestron quotes a 10-year battery life from the single 9 V lithium battery, which is included. The sensor is completely wireless, so it needs no power or data cabling, and it talks to the Zum system over Zum Mesh peer-to-peer RF.

This occupancy sensor turns lights on when the room is occupied and off when it is vacant. Crestron's ZUMMESH-PIR-VACANCY-BATT is the vacancy sensor version, which turns lights off when the room is vacant. Check the part number on an existing sensor so the replacement behaves the same way.

It communicates wirelessly with Zum dimmers, switches and load controllers, automating them based on occupancy and vacancy to reduce energy use. Pair and play setup uses Zum Mesh peer-to-peer RF, and the sensor can be part of a standalone or networked Zum wireless lighting control solution.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
