Crestron STIRP IR Emitter Probe with 3.5mm Mini Phone Plug

The STIRP is an infrared emitter probe. It attaches over the IR sensor window of a television, DVD player or other IR controllable device and plugs into a Crestron control system or room solution box, giving that system a 1-way IR control interface to the device.

It plugs into any Crestron control system or room solution box that has a mini-phone type Crestron IR port. Crestron describes the part as an IR emitter probe with a 3.5mm mini phone plug, so check the port on the existing equipment before ordering.

It provides 1-way IR control. The control system sends infrared commands through the probe to the sensor window of the device. The probe itself is an infrared LED in a miniature shell, so it transmits commands rather than reading any status back from the device.

The STIRP has an integral 7 ft cable, meaning the cable is part of the probe rather than a separate lead. Crestron's description notes that this cable can be extended when the device sits further from the control system's IR port.

It is designed to adhere directly over the IR sensor window of the device being controlled, such as a television or DVD player. Placing the emitter over the sensor window lets IR commands from the Crestron system reach the device's receiver.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
