Crestron RFID-USB RFID Card Reader for TSW-70 and TSS-70 Series

It is a compact RFID card reader for supported room scheduling applications and custom room control projects, working through a TSW-70 or TSS-70 series touch screen. It sits next to the touch screen so users can authenticate with, or communicate with, the screen by scanning an RFID card.

Crestron lists integration with TSW-70 and TSS-70 series touch screens and control systems. The reader's micro USB port is intended for connection to the USB host port on a TSW-70 series touch screen. Check that your scheduling or control application is one that supports the reader.

It reads 125 kHz (LF) and 13.56 MHz (HF) cards, with a read and write distance of up to 3.15 in. (80 mm) depending on the environment. It also has 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy, to Bluetooth v4.2, with AES128 supported. The antenna is integrated into the device.

The RFID-USB is powered through its micro USB connection at 4.3 to 5.5 V. Typical current draw is 70 mA when idle and 135 mA with the RF field on. The same micro USB port carries data to the touch screen's USB host port at USB full speed.

It fixes with peel-and-stick adhesive to glass, drywall or similar surfaces. A mounting frame is provided for use with a mullion mount kit. On its own the reader is 2.58 in. (66 mm) high, 1.79 in. (46 mm) wide and 0.16 in. (4 mm) deep, with a black plastic housing.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the RFID-USB on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the RFID-USB develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
