Crestron MPC4-201 4-Series Media Presentation Controller, 1-Gang

It is the 4-Series Media Presentation Controller 201, which combines a 4-Series control system processor with a wall-mounted control panel. It is PoE powered, has six customisable backlit capacitive buttons plus power, mute and volume buttons, and fits a 1-gang electrical box or tabletop enclosure.

Its connectors are an RJ45 Ethernet port with PoE and a ground lug. For controlling other equipment, Crestron lists add-on Cresnet, infiNET EX, RS-232, IR, relay and Versiport interface options, so plan these in when the room needs them.

It is powered over Ethernet as an IEEE 802.3at Type 1 (802.3af compatible) Class 0 powered device, with typical consumption of 3 W. The same RJ45 port provides its 1000Base-TX network connection, so a single cable handles power and data.

The unit has an eye-safe 940 nm laser ranging sensor with a range adjustable from 20 to 90 cm. It detects people within that range and wakes the unit, and a separate ambient light sensor adjusts the button backlighting automatically.

It mounts flush on a wall or lectern in a 1-gang electrical box, or in a tabletop enclosure. A 2-gang wall mounting option is also available. The unit measures 87 mm high, 87 mm wide and 48 mm deep.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the MPC4-201 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the MPC4-201 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.

Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
