About the Crestron INETS-IOEX-DOOR-BATT

The sensor's internal magnetic switch is normally open and closes when the magnet is within range of its active end, and the open or closed state is sent to the control system. A dry-contact connector is supplied for connecting an optional external dry contact sensor. The door status can then be used with lighting controls, HVAC systems and other parts of the Crestron system.

For a hidden fit, the sensor slides into a 7/8 in hole drilled in the door or door frame, and it can also be surface mounted. The plastic enclosure is 17 mm by 17 mm and 68 mm long. A recessed setup button handles test, reset and acquire. The 3.6 VDC 1/2 AA lithium battery is rated at more than 3 years, and the sensor gives a low battery notification.

It communicates two-way over infiNET EX at 2.4 GHz and needs an infiNET EX gateway. Typical range is 46 m (150 ft) indoors and 76 m (250 ft) outdoors to the nearest mesh network device, depending on the site. It is available in black (-B) or white (-W) to suit the door or frame, and operates from 0 to 45 °C.
