Crestron DM-NAX-AUD-USB Audio-over-IP Converter with USB-C Audio

It is a DM NAX audio-over-IP converter that works as both an encoder and a decoder. It adds USB audio over USB-C, plus an unbalanced 3.5 mm line-level input and output, to a DM NAX audio distribution network, and can route audio to or from other DM NAX and DM NVX devices.

It connects over USB-C as a USB Audio Class 1 (UAC1) device with bidirectional stereo audio at up to 24-bit/48 kHz, and enumerates as a Non-AEC Enabled Speakerphone. As that name indicates, it does not perform acoustic echo cancellation itself.

There is one 3.5 mm TRS input and one 3.5 mm TRS output, both carrying unbalanced stereo line-level audio with a maximum level of 2 Vrms. The input impedance is 10k ohms, and Crestron quotes a signal to noise ratio of 108 dB from the line input.

It is powered by Power over Ethernet, compliant with IEEE 802.3af Class 0, from an IEEE 802.3af compliant switch or third-party PoE source. Power consumption is 5 W. The same RJ-45 port carries the DM NAX audio-over-IP network connection at 100 or 1000 Mbps.

Included hardware lets it be mounted in a 1-gang electrical box or plaster ring (not included), under a table or on a rack rail. An additional polycarbonate label with rotated text is included to keep the front panel legible. It measures 41 mm high, 66 mm wide and 54 mm deep.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the DM-NAX-AUD-USB on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.

Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the DM-NAX-AUD-USB develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
