Crestron DIN-PWR-RD DIN Rail Power Redundancy Module, 24 V

It is a DIN rail redundancy module that allows two power supplies to be connected to a Crestron control system, such as the DIN-AP4, to achieve a redundant power system. The two supplies connect to its inputs and its output connects to the control system.

If one of the two power supplies fails, the second power supply takes over, giving full redundancy. The module also has a contact closure output for failure reporting, so the loss of a supply can be signalled.

It has a 24 V voltage rating and a pass-through current rating of 5 A. The module itself uses 0.9 W at 24 VDC. An LCD display shows the voltage on both inputs and the output power consumption.

Each supply connects to its own 4-pin 5 mm detachable terminal block, with + on pin 1 and GND on pin 4. The output and failure relay share a third 4-pin 5 mm terminal block, which provides GND, the contact closure output and +.

It measures 88 mm high, 65 mm wide and 56 mm deep and mounts on a DIN rail. The enclosure is black powder coated 1 mm ST37 steel, and the module is rated for 0 to 40 °C and 10% to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing.
