About the Crestron DIN-IO8

Each Versiport can be set in software as a digital input, an analogue input or a digital trigger output. As a digital input it senses a contact closure or logic level signal from devices such as motion detectors, partition sensors, alarm panels, 12 V triggers and all types of switches and relays. As an analogue input it senses changes in resistance or DC voltage level.

The DIN-IO8 communicates with a DIN-AP4 4-Series DIN Rail Control System, or any other Crestron 4-Series control system, over Cresnet, which also powers the module. A pair of Cresnet ports makes it easy to daisy-chain several DIN Rail Series automation modules, and all functions are fully programmable through the control system.

The module is 6M wide and snaps onto a standard DIN rail, either in a wall mount enclosure or on a wall panel. Wiring uses detachable screw terminals along the top and bottom, clearly accessible from the front for easier installation and servicing. Because Cresnet carries both its data and its power, one Cresnet connection serves both.
