About the Crestron CENI-GW1
The gateway has a separate transceiver for each network. The infiNET EX and ER transceivers are 2-way RF in the 2.4 GHz ISM band at +19 dBm, with infiNET EX on channels 11 to 26 (default 15) and IEEE 802.15.4 compliant. The SG transceiver runs at +27 dBm on channel 32. Indoor range is 150 ft (46 m) for infiNET EX, 100 to 200 ft (31 to 61 m) for ER and 230 ft (70 m) for SG, subject to site conditions.
One gateway supports up to 50 SG devices and up to five infiNET EX expanders. It handles up to 100 infiNET EX devices when no ER devices are used, and each ER device added, up to 10, lowers that figure by 10. Coverage can be extended with infiNET EX expanders and the built-in ER roaming. Setup uses dynamic discovery, Wi-Fi friendly channel selection and a built-in energy scan tool for picking a channel.
Power comes from PoE (IEEE 802.3at Type 1, 802.3af compatible, Class 3) or a 24VDC power pack rated at 0.75 A minimum, such as the PW-2407WU, sold separately. Typical consumption is 5.3 W. The small IFE enclosure can stand freely, stack on other IFE devices, surface mount or fit 35 mm DIN rail, where it takes 8 module spaces. Antennas can be mounted remotely with one ANT-EXT-10 per antenna.

What is the Crestron CENI-GW1?

How many devices can one CENI-GW1 support?
It supports up to 50 SG devices and up to five infiNET EX expanders. With no ER devices it supports up to 100 infiNET EX devices. Each ER device reduces the infiNET EX limit by 10, so with the maximum of 10 ER devices no infiNET EX devices can be added.
What is the wireless range of the CENI-GW1?
Crestron quotes indoor range of 150 ft (46 m) for infiNET EX to the nearest mesh device, 100 to 200 ft (31 to 61 m) maximum for ER, and 230 ft (70 m) for SG, which reaches 656 ft (200 m) outdoors. Range depends on site conditions. Expanders and ER roaming can extend coverage.
How is the gateway powered?

Yes. The antennas can be moved away from the gateway using the ANT-EXT-10, with one needed for each antenna, sold separately. The gateway itself sits in a small IFE enclosure that can stand freely, stack on other IFE devices, surface mount or fit 35 mm DIN rail.

Yes. 1Install is an authorised Crestron Elite Partner with offices in Skerries, Co. Dublin and Cork. We can supply the CENI-GW1 on its own, or install, set up and programme it as part of your system. Installation visits are €440 for 4 hours or €880 for a full day, plus VAT and travel.
Does the CENI-GW1 come with a warranty?
Yes. Everything we supply is new, genuine Crestron with Crestron's standard warranty. If the CENI-GW1 develops a fault, contact us and we will handle the claim with Crestron. If we installed it, our workmanship is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system.
Is the CENI-GW1 in stock?
We order Crestron for each quote, so availability depends on Crestron's stock at the time. We check it before we quote and put the expected delivery date on your quote, so you know where you stand before you pay.
Can I buy the CENI-GW1 without installation?
Yes. We supply Crestron to end users, with or without installation. Like most Crestron devices of this type, it needs setting up or programming before it works in a system, and we can quote for that too.
